BRENHAM, Texas (AP) - A Houston man has been slightly hurt when his glider crashed in a Central Texas field after missing some power lines.

The Eagle newspaper (https://bit.ly/1lDFxty ) reports the crash happened late Wednesday afternoon north of Brenham. The glider came to rest about 20 yards from a home.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the pilot maneuvered the Glasflugel H-301 to avoid power lines but then hit a tree.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the pilot of the one-seat glider sustained minor cuts and declined treatment. His name wasn’t immediately released.

The FAA says the glider suffered substantial damage.

Brenham is about 65 miles northwest of Houston.
