IRVING, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices in Texas and across the country have declined a nickel this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide slipped to $3.32 per gallon. Retail gasoline prices across the U.S. settled at $3.47 per gallon.

The association survey found that El Paso has the most expensive gasoline in Texas at $3.41 per gallon. Drivers in Amarillo have the cheapest gasoline at $3.20 per gallon.

Oil market watchers continue to monitor the Middle East and northern Africa, plus growing tensions in Eastern Europe. Analysts also note August means moving into the more active part of the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs June through November.
