BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Prentiss County authorities have arrested four people in connection with a break-in at the county courthouse in January.

Investigators identify the suspects as 64-year-old Gerald Guynes of Rienzi, 51-year-old Steve Gumm of Tremont, 50-year-old Donna Way of Baldwyn and 47-year-old Joseph Moore of Shannon.

Prentiss sheriff’s deputies and Booneville police tell WTVA-TV (https://bit.ly/1stDwnO ) nearly $36,000 in cash and checks were taken from a safe in the tax collector’s office.

The suspects were booked Friday at the Prentiss County jail. It was not immediately clear whether they have attorneys.
