FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 78 years in prison for firing a gun into a crowded Fort Wayne bar and wounding two people.

An Allen County judge ordered the sentence Thursday for Senaca Lapsley. A jury convicted him last month of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness for the shooting early Christmas Day at Sports & Spirits near downtown Fort Wayne.

The Journal Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1sjOKi4 ) Lapsley snorted at the judge, rolled his eyes, grinned and said “nope” when asked whether he wanted to say anything to the shooting victims. One man suffered severe leg injuries and a woman lost part of a finger.

Authorities say Lapsley was involved in a fight inside the bar and was kicked out, then fired several shots into the tavern.
