JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a school bus in southern Indiana collided into the back of another school bus and the front bus was then struck in the side by a car.

The News and Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1yeVhZx ) no serious injuries were reported, although 22 students were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. A spokeswoman for Clark Memorial Hospital says nine children and two adults were treated and released.

The accident occurred about 3:10 p.m., less than a block from Parkview Middle School where the buses were leaving.

Greater Clark Schools Superintendent Andrew Melin said the injuries ranged from “bumps and bruises” to “maybe a broken bone.”

Police are investigating.
