HELENA, Ala. (AP) - A new high school has opened its doors in Helena.

More than 1,000 students started school this week at the new facility, which features a media center, high-tech classrooms and a storm shelter.

Shelby County Schools Superintendent Randy Fuller told WBMA-TV (https://bit.ly/1uuPw9X ) that the opening went smoothly.
