TULSA, Okla. (AP) - An off-duty Tulsa police officer accused of being an accessory to murder after the fact in the fatal shooting of her daughter’s boyfriend was released on $25,000 bond.

First Assistant District Attorney Doug Drummond said Gina Kepler is not considered a flight risk or public safety concern, KJRH-TV reported (https://bit.ly/1siduqY ). She and her husband, Shannon, also a police officer, were arrested in connection with Jeremy Lake’s death.

The Tulsa Police Department said Lake, 19, was killed Tuesday after he had been walking with the Keplers’ daughter. The department said Shannon Kepler confronted Lake and shot at him several times following an argument.

Police also said Shannon Kepler shot at his daughter after she started to run.

Shannon Kepler, who has worked at the Tulsa Police Department for about 24 years, is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. His attorney said he should qualify for release.

Both are expected to be arraigned Tuesday. Gina Kepler declined to comment to the TV station as she was released.

Meanwhile, more than 150 people gathered Thursday for a candlelight vigil for Lake near his home.

The spot where he died was marked with red and pink roses, the Tulsa World reported. A table was set up nearby and it had flower arrangements, candles and photos of Lake.
