BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a person who threw a switch at a train yard in Battle Creek, causing five freight cars to derail and leading to about $100,000 in damage.

No injuries were reported following the 9 p.m. Thursday derailment.

TV stations WWMT and WOOD report that rail workers saw a man run to a truck and drive off following the derailment. Police say the full-size, red pickup was hauling a trailer carrying mowers and lawn equipment. Police are seeking tips from the public.
