ATLANTA (AP) - A valet parking service vendor will end operations at Atlanta’s airport because the firm says new competition makes it financially unviable.

AmeriPark’s GreenCoat Auto Concierge started business last year at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It offered curbside valet parking and services like oil changes and car washes while travelers were away.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/1pg6sjS ) reports the valet service will stop taking new reservations Friday. The decision comes as the airport plans to add valet service under a new airport parking contract. GreenCoat representatives said the new competition would have drawn away some of its customers and made it financially unworkable to continue.

AmeriPark will fulfill existing reservations.
