BARRE, Vt. (AP) - A Barre, Vermont, woman is facing burglary and reckless endangerment charges after police say she left her 2-year-old child home alone for hours while she committed a burglary.

Police say they responded to the report of a burglary on Thursday morning when they found 33-year-old Mia Boudreau bleeding and in a brook near the scene.

Authorities say they found her 2-year-old child naked and trembling on a couch in her apartment where they estimate she had been for five hours.

Boudreau pleaded not guilty on Friday and was being held on $2,500 bail and other conditions.

Police say Boudreau is known to officers because of recent dealings with her involving DCF and her child.
