PHOENIX (AP) - The head of the state Board of Executive Clemency says four guns and his credentials are among the possessions a burglar took from his Phoenix home.

Chairman and Executive Director Brian Livingston told KTVK-TV (https://bit.ly/1sIGwhY) that someone ransacked his house while he was at work Wednesday.

Livingston, a retired police officer, says the thief also made off with his badge and several valuable watches.

Livingston says this is the third break-in at his home in five years.

He says he is unsure if his ties to the clemency board are related to the crime.

The five-member board oversees monthly parole hearings and approves release of inmates.

Gov. Jan Brewer appointed Livingston to the board in April 2012.
