OELWEIN, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a load of marijuana has been discovered on a train car passing through Oelwein in northeast Iowa.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/X8WZ3H ) that 61 pounds of pot bundled in 45 packages was discovered Friday.

Oelwein police estimate the street value of the pot at $90,000.

Police Chief Jeremy Logan says he doesn’t believe the marijuana was headed for Oelwein.

The marijuana was discovered by railroad workers when the railcar was diverted for repairs.
