BEAR, Del. (AP) - New Castle County police say they’ve arrested a 36-year-old man believed to be responsible for six burglaries in two communities in Bear.

Police say they identified William Martin as a suspect after he was caught on video using a credit card stolen from the home of one of the victims. He was arrested Friday at his home without incident.

Police say at least two of the homes were occupied when he broke in, and he demanded money from the residents. In one case, police say he assaulted a homeowner. Police say he broke into one home twice, along with four others.

He faces a long list of charges including burglary, theft and attempted robbery and is being held on $265,000 bail.
