BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a wreck on July 22 in Prairieville involving a Baton Rouge City Police motorcycle officer and a driver of a green Jeep Wrangler.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1ozvZ2q ) that troopers are hoping that one witness in particular, a man who stopped at the scene to help the officer pick up his motorcycle, will contact them.

That man is believed to have been driving an SUV. He may have been a firsthand witness to the crash and is not a suspect,

The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. July 22, on Louisiana Highway 42 west of Louisiana Highway 929, in front of a Walgreen’s. Anyone with information on the wreck is asked to call State Police Troop A at (225) 754-8500.
