SYRACUSE, Utah (AP) - A Utah teenager was critically injured when a pickup truck driven by a family member ran over her while she was sunbathing in a residential driveway.

Police told KSL the 15-year-old girl was listening to her iPod with ear buds and did not hear the truck as it backed out of the garage about noon Friday in Syracuse, 25 miles north of Salt Lake City.

She was flown by medical helicopter to a local hospital, where she remained in critical condition with a head injury Saturday. Her name was not released.

Police say the pickup driver did not realize the girl was on the driveway and will not be charged.

The driver’s name and relationship to the teen were not released.
