TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Tuscaloosa say two people are hospitalized after a fall from a fourth-floor apartment balcony.

Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service Marshal Gene Holcomb tells the Tuscaloosa News a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man fell from a balcony at Crimson Student Living Saturday and were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unclear.

Holcomb says it appears that a railing on the balcony gave way. The general manager of the property, Amy Verner, tells WBMA-TV the building’s management company is investigating the incident.
