NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a routine traffic stop in Newport has led to the arrests of the driver and two passengers, including one wanted on bank robbery charges.

A trooper stopped a car on Sunday afternoon for several motor violations. During the stop, the trooper determined the car was reported stolen out of Milton. He arrested the driver, 32-year-old Joshua Dematos of Farmington, on a charge of receiving stolen property; Dematos also was wanted on several warrants.

Warrants also were out on 34-year-old James Whinnem of Somersworth in connection with bank robberies in Manchester and Dover; and on 36-year-old Christina Robinson of Farmington, on drug possession and conspiracy charges.

It was not immediately known if any of the three had lawyers.
