PERRIS, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Riverside County say a jumper has died in the skydiving mecca of Perris.

County fire spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman tells the Riverside Press-Enterprise (https://bit.ly/1yacJmM) on Sunday that the death was a result of some sort of trauma but it’s not clear whether there was a problem with a parachute or some other issue.

The coroner’s office says in a statement that 36-year-old Justin Gulley of Canyon Lake was injured Saturday afternoon at Perris Valley Skydiving and died about 45 minutes later but provided no further details.

The general manager of the facility was not available for comment.

There have been few skydiving accidents reported in Perris this year after several deaths in 2012 and 2013.
