FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas entered The Associated Press women’s college basketball poll at No. 25 this week, and the Southeastern Conference says guard Kelsey Brooks is its player of the week.

Brooks was the most-valuable player at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas, where the Razorbacks beat Iowa and Richmond. The SEC announced honors Monday.

She scored 41 points in the two games, including a career-high 24 in an upset victory over Iowa. She also had 14 rebounds and five steals for the week.

So far this season, Brooks is averaging 15.5 points per game, along with seven rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Arkansas is 6-0 for the seventh time in history.

Arkansas is one of three schoolsy with both men’s and women’s teams ranked.
