SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A homeless sex offender accused of killing a woman inside her Sioux Falls home is being held on a $750,000 cash-only bond.

Fifty-seven-year-old Arthur Brundige is charged with alternate counts of first- and second-degree murder and manslaughter in the Nov. 22 death of 39-year-old Sabrina White.

Brundige appeared in court Monday. The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports (https://argusne.ws/1twiAfm) that his public defender did not contest the bond.

Brundige is a registered sex offender because of sexual conduct convictions in Minnesota and Nebraska in 1982 and 1989. He is on probation in Minnehaha County for failing to register.

Brundige faces life in prison or possibly the death penalty if convicted.
