PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Fort Lee is inviting the public to attend its annual tree lighting ceremony this week.

The Grand Illumination will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the Lee Club lawn. The event will include train rides, games for children and music by the 392nd Army Band and carolers.

Fort Lee commanding general Maj. Gen. Stephen Lyons and his wife, Maureen, will flip the switch to light the tree.

A valid state- or government-issued identification card with photo is required for anyone 18 years or older to access the base.
