COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) - A musical instrument and religious symbol has been found after being taken from a central Indiana church during a recent burglary.

Pastor Gerry Ballard says the brown and tan, 30-inch shofar that resembles a ram’s horn was apparently the only item stolen from the Seventh Street Church of God in Columbus during the break-in late Nov. 7 or early Nov. 8.

The Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1vZy8ij ) a homeowner called police over the weekend and said he had located the shofar. Authorities returned it to the church.

Patrick Griffin said he acquired the modern shofar in Israel and presented it to the church just days before the burglary.

The investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
