DENVER (AP) - A 28-year-old man accused of carjacking three vehicles and leading police on a 75-mile chase that nearly killed a Colorado State Patrol trooper has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1y7kgOc ) Ryan Stone entered his pleas Monday to 26 counts stemming from the March chase that spanned several Colorado counties. He is being held on $2.5 million bail.

Police say Stone first stole an SUV in Longmont with a 4-year-old boy inside before carjacking two other vehicles during the morning rush hour. The boy was not hurt.

During the chase, police say Stone struck and seriously injured Trooper Bellamann Hee.

Stone was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and numerous other counts.
