SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - Investigators say a man was found dead after an apartment fire at a halfway house in northern Ohio.

Firefighters pulled the man from a burning apartment Sunday afternoon at the Beacon House in Sandusky.

Investigators made no immediate determination about the cause of the blaze. Police Sgt. Dana Newell told The Sandusky Register (https://bit.ly/1vZp64Z ) there was no sign of foul play.

The cause of the man’s death also was unclear.

Authorities were working to identify the body. Newell said detectives contacted the family of the man to whom the room was assigned, but they hadn’t determined whether that was the person who died.
