ALBANY, La. (AP) - In a story Nov. 29 about a traffic fatality in Livingston Parish, The Associated Press reported erroneously which vehicle caused the crash. The car involved in the collision crossed the yellow line, not the truck driven by the man who was killed.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Independence man killed in two-vehicle head-on crash

ALBANY, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a 39-year-old Independence man was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle accident in Livingston Parish.

State police have identified the victim as Harold D. Conaster. The crash occurred on Louisiana Highway 40.

State police say in a news release that the accident occurred when a car apparently crossed the center line and collided head-on with Conaster’s pickup truck. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
