ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A man who admitted robbing and killing an East Asheville man he met through a Craigslist ad is facing at least 15 years in prison.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reports (https://avlne.ws/1yaYDS2) 23-year-old Christopher Jordan Johnson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon on Monday in Buncombe County Superior Court. Johnson also pleaded guilty to an unrelated charge of failing to register as a sex offender.

Johnson admitted shooting 54-year-old Timothy Keith Radford at Radford’s home in November 2013.

Court records show Johnson and a woman went to Radford’s home after Radford answered a Craigslist ad placed by the woman looking for a place to live for her and Johnson. The woman changed her mind about having sex with Guffey, sparking an argument which led to the shooting.
