LAKE CITY, Ark. (AP) - Two people killed in a house explosion in Craighead County this weekend have been identified as an 11-year-old boy and his grandmother.

Eleven-year-old Slade Owen Gilley and 64-year-old Deborah Gilley died after being trapped inside their home between Lake City and Monette when it exploded Saturday afternoon, The Jonesboro Sun reported (https://bit.ly/1rNgGGE ) Monday.

Assistant Chief Deputy Justin Rolland said three other people who were injured include another child and two adults. All are hospitalized in serious condition, he said, and their names and ages were not released.

Rolland said sheriff’s investigators are still investigating the incident, although it is believed to have been accidental.

Rolland said there was a gas leak inside the home and the explosion occurred as a gas line was being connected to a propane tank. Lake City assistant Fire Chief Herb Davis said that a stove was being hooked up at the time of the explosion.

Saturday’s blast was the third home explosion in northeast Arkansas in recent weeks. One on Nov. 15 resulted in the death of 90-year-old Gladys Wilbanks at her home in Keiser, and the other happened Nov. 12 in Osceola and left a woman with burn injuries.
