BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (AP) - A new West Virginia circuit court judge will be in sworn in Monday.

Upshur County prosecutor Jacob Reger will serve the remainder of Judge Thomas Keadle’s term. Keadle retired on Jan. 31, 2013.

Reger won election to fill the vacancy in the Nov. 4 general election. He will serve in the 26th Judicial Circuit that includes Lewis and Upshur counties.

Reger has served as Upshur County’s prosecutor since 2005.

The swearing-in ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Upshur County Courthouse’s circuit court courtroom in Buckhannon. A public reception will follow the ceremony.

A second public reception is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Lewis County Judicial Annex’s circuit court courtroom in Weston.
