PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police believe a man found passed out in the street was driving a pickup truck they believe smashed into nine parked cars.

Police didn’t immediately identify the man, who was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the man wasn’t able to tell them much after police responded to the crashes about 2:25 a.m. Monday on the street in the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood.

Witnesses who reported the crashes say they saw the pickup driver run away and police say the found the 38-year-old man passed out a short distance away.

Police were continuing to investigate, but planned to charge the man if they can prove he was driving the truck.
