NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nashville Predators center Filip Forsberg has been named the NHL’s rookie of the month for November.

The NHL announced the honor Monday.

Forsberg led all rookies with nine goals and 15 points for a plus-9 rating in 13 games during the month. Three of his goals were game winners, and he had the first multi-goal game of his career along with the game winner in a 3-1 win over Vancouver on Nov. 2.

He also became the first rookie to score in six straight games since Feb. 5-15, 2011, when Michael Grabner did for the Islanders.

Forsberg was the 11th pick overall in 2012 by Washington, and Nashville picked him up in an April 2013 trade.
