HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - A teen accused of setting fire to a 14-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated arson and felonious assault.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said in a statement Monday that a 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday after the 14-year-old was hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns to his arms and legs. He is expected to recover.

Jones says emergency crews responded to a call of a boy burned at a Liberty Township trailer park about 5 a.m. Sunday. The boy told police he awoke in pain with his clothing on fire. A sheriff’s spokeswoman says he was staying with a friend who helped him put out the fire.

A detective handling the case says the boys are not friends and investigators are looking into allegations that bullying might be involved.
