SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say they are investigating four men who climbed Sacramento’s iconic Tower Bridge and posted a video of their daring feat on YouTube.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/12wpzhr ) the anonymous climbers scaled the outside of the bridge before getting on catwalks. They apparently reached the very top of one of two towers.

California Department of Transportation spokesman Dennis Keaton says the investigation by local and state law enforcement is ongoing and that Homeland Security may be notified.

He says the bridge is a state route and the climbers posed a possible threat to the structure.

The YouTube video was posted Monday under the title “Mission Possible: Sac Tower Bridge.” It shows four climbers in dark clothes, faces blurred, scaling the iconic lift bridge over the Sacramento River downtown.
