AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - A Texas Panhandle man has suffered burns on his back after being set on fire by two people who then fled.

Amarillo police on Wednesday investigated whether the attack involved a domestic dispute and a woman the victim knows. No one has been arrested.

Officers on Tuesday night responded to an aggravated assault call about a 36-year-old man hurt when his clothing was set on fire.

The man said he was entering his home when two people approached, threw liquid on his back and set him ablaze. He managed to get inside, put out the flames and summon a neighbor.

The victim, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say one attacker wore a hooded jacket. Further details weren’t immediately available.
