BEULAH, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have charged two Beulah siblings who they say assaulted police officers who responded to a bar fight.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1uklrIA ) 26-year-old Brittany Godwin was charged Tuesday with two counts of felony simple assault on a peace officer. Thirty-two-year-old Jerry Godwin was charged with the same count as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Beulah police say they responded to a fight at Alibis bar on Friday. They say the siblings fled the bar to a nearby apartment and Jerry Godwin charged at officers when they tried to detain his sister.

A police report says he punched an officer in the head. Police say Brittany Godwin kicked an officer in the face.

Officers say they used a Taser on both siblings.

It wasn’t immediately available if they have attorneys.
