GARLAND, Texas (AP) - A suburban Dallas man has been charged with capital murder after police found his 4-year-old son dead inside their home.

Joseph Blocker was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his Garland home. He remained in the Garland city jail Wenesday with bond set at $500,000. Police spokesman Joe Harn says it’s unclear if he has an attorney.

Harn says detectives believe the boy died of injuries suffered inside a front-loading washing machine. He says the 28-year-old father was at home alone with the victim and a 22-month-old child when he called 911 operators to report his son was unconscious..
