WENTWORTH, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is holding a meeting to address public safety concerns about a historic bridge over Baker River in Wentworth, and the possibility of re-establishing a pedestrian crossing there.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Wentworth Old Town Hall.

The purpose is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project. It’s also being held to solicit input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.
