BUNNELL, Fla. (AP) - Two anonymous calls have prompted detectives in central Florida to reopen the case of a man who’s been missing since 1997.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/1yP5vnc ) reports Robert Patrick Pickard was less than a month shy of turning 39 when he was reported missing from a rented trailer in Bunnell.

At the time, detectives said the disappearance had “the ingredients of an ominous crime.”

Flagler County Sheriff’s officials say they’ve received two calls in the past eight months that indicated knowledge of Pickard’s disappearance and suggested a location where his body might be found. An investigation has turned up nothing.

The landlord reported him missing. Blood and marijuana plants were found in the home, which had been burglarized.

Anyone with information should contact Det. Mark Moy at 386-586-4899.
