ROCKINGHAM, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say they’re searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle who fled the scene of a crash.

The crash happened Tuesday afternoon on a snow-covered road in Rockingham.

State police say the driver of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler lost control of the vehicle on a slippery roadway and crashed into an SUV driven by Westminster resident Heaven McGivern.

McGivern was not injured. Both vehicles were totaled. State police say the Jeep was reported stolen from Lebanon, New Hampshire, on Sunday.

Witnesses say they saw the driver of the Jeep flee the scene on foot. Troopers tracked him to a nearby interstate where they say it appears he was picked up by another driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
