CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) - A Bolivar County man has pleaded guilty to DUI death charges related to an accident in 2012 that left his girlfriend dead.

Prosecutors tell The Bolivar Commercial (https://bit.ly/1B8BJcm ) that Rodney Shelton Fulgham was sentenced this past week in circuit court to 25 years in prison.

Fulgham was indicted for the Oct. 20, 2012, death of 20-year-old Shelby Harmon of Cleveland. Fulgham had been in jail since his October 2013 indictment.

Authorities say Harmon was struck and killed as she walked along U.S. Highway 61 near the Boyle community just south of Cleveland. Authorities say it appeared Harmon was struck by at least three vehicles. They say one of the vehicles was a pickup truck driven by Fulgham.

An investigation resulted in Fulgham’s arrest.
