LUMBERTON, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a Lumberton man is dead and two other men are in custody charged with murder, robbery and other counts after leading police on a five-mile, high-speed chase.

Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey says 23-year-old Bo Junior Locklear was found shot to death in the Union Chapel community early Monday afternoon.

Deputies have charged 24-year-old Marcell Martice McCoy Jr. of Shannon and 26-year-old Antonio Tyquan Purcell of St. Pauls.

Sealey says a deputy spotted a car matching the description of one seen leaving the scene. Authorities chased it at speeds of up to 85 mph. The chase ended when the vehicle hit two patrol cars blocking a road.

It was not immediately known if the two men had attorneys.
