SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man has been indicted on two felony charges after police say he spit on a pair of officers.

The San Angelo Standard-Times reports (https://bit.ly/135OQ2W ) Tuesday that 18-year-old Daniel Cuellar III has been charged with two counts of harassment of a public servant.

San Angelo Police Officer Jennifer Kuhlmann says he spit on the back of her head during an October drug arrest. Tom Green County Jail Officer Adam Cooper was asked to help restrain Cuellar. He says Cuellar spit in his face, eyes and mouth.

Cuellar faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each count if convicted.

Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney.
