RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City woman has pleaded guilty to felony methamphetamine charges and misdemeanor charges related to her children’s care.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1qtZoTz ) 37-year-old Mandy Scott admitted to possession of a controlled substance and ingestion of methamphetamine Tuesday. Both felony charges carry maximum sentences of five years in prison. She will be sentenced in February.

Scott also pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges and admitted that the power in her house was turned off when she couldn’t pay the bill.

A Pennington County deputy state’s attorney says police went to Scott’s house after receiving calls about her children asking others for food.
