RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 54-year-old Reno man has been arrested as a suspect in the killing of a man whose body was found slumped over in a wheelchair on the edge of the downtown casino district.

Reno police say Randall Dahl faces one count of open murder in the death of the 51-year-old man.

Officers found the victim about 7 a.m. Wednesday when they responded to a call in the area of 4th and Lake streets near the Reno Events Center.

Police spokesman Tim Broadway says Dahl told detectives he punched the victim, who fell to the ground and never regained consciousness during an earlier fight in a room at a nearby hotel on Center Street.

It’s not clear how the victim ended up where he did.

No other details have been released.
