SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - University of Sioux Falls defensive back Solomon St. Pierre is an All-American.

The junior from Wagner has been named to the American Football Coaches Association Division II All-America Team.

St. Pierre this past season had 10 interceptions, the most in Division II and a school record. The cornerback had the most interception return yards in the nation and tied for most interception touchdown returns, with two. He helped lead the Cougars to an 11-1 record, and is a nominee for the Cliff Harris Award for the top defensive player in Division II. The winner will be announced later this month.

St. Pierre is Sioux Falls’ first AFCA first-team All-American since the school made the transition to the Division II ranks in 2011.
