MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A trial has been called off after a Minot man changed his plea to guilty of sexually abusing children.

The Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1368Hio ) Christopher Tollin pleaded guilty to the felony counts of child gross sexual imposition on Tuesday at a hearing in Ward County court. Jury selection began Monday but the trial was canceled around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

An assistant state’s attorney declined to comment on why Tollin changed his plea at the last minute. She says sentencing is set for March 2015. Sentencing will be left to the judge because Tollin didn’t make a plea agreement with prosecutors.

She says Tollin’s victims are children but declined to provide details of the case.
