DETROIT (AP) - A window washer has been rescued after ending up dangling on the side of a Detroit building about two floors up.

Detroit Fire Department Capt. Jerod Funderburg says the rescue took place Wednesday morning. He says a board shifted, causing the man to slip and get stuck hanging from his gear by his feet.

Funderburg says the worker was wearing his harness at the time of the accident.

The fire captain says rescue crews responded and the man was freed within minutes. Funderburg says the man “seemed to be OK,” but was taken by ambulance to a hospital as a precaution.
