BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Officials are considering a $1.6 million project to expand the apron at Bismarck’s airport.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1DgNO3T ) that the expansion would enable the State Aeronautics Commission, the Bismarck Aero Center and the Fargo Jet Center to expand. There also would be room for two more buildings.

A public meeting on the idea is planned Tuesday night. If the proposal clears an environmental study, it might qualify for Federal Aviation Administration funding.
