STAFFORD, Texas (AP) - Police are searching for a suspected gunman after a quarrel inside a suburban Houston Wal-Mart led to a fatal shooting in the store parking lot.

The incident happened Wednesday night at a Wal-Mart in Stafford. Lt. James Leedom says it wasn’t immediately clear what ignited the argument that left one man dead.

Leedom says police don’t believe the two shoppers knew each other. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage in the hope of developing a description for the suspect.

Witness Paul Veliz says the man who was shot had been with a woman and a child. No one else was injured.

The name of the victim wasn’t immediately released.
