MINOT, N.D. (AP) - The man prosecuting a Williston man on trial for murder told jurors that authorities searched the home of Ryan Stensaker’s mother and found a rifle in the bedroom where Stensaker often slept.

Under questioning from the defense, lead investigator Amanda McNamee said authorities also found one round of the type of ammunition used to kill Jack Sjol (shohl) at the home of the ex-husband of Sjol’s girlfriend.

Stensaker is on trial in Minot on murder conspiracy and other charges in the spring 2013 death of Sjohl. KXMC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1wjwq8n ) McNamee testified Wednesday that authorities have not identified a motive in the case, and had other suspects than Stensaker.

Stensaker’s trial is scheduled to run through the end of next week. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted.
