HONOLULU (AP) - The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is inviting central Oahu residents to a meeting on how best to preserve a sustainable supply of drinking water.

The board is hosting a community meeting 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Mililani Mauka Elementary School.

The utility says it welcomes input on the watershed management planning process for the central Oahu region.

The agency says a community-based plan will provide guidance for the management and use of Oahu’s water resources.

Honolulu is preparing water management plans for eight districts on Oahu.
